The South’s favorite chefs and mixologists are stepping out of the kitchen and into the country for Southern Chefs Potluck, a dinner benefiting Wholesome Wave Georgia’s work to provide affordable access to fresh, healthy, locally-grown foods for Georgians in need.
Southern Chefs Potluck is excited to return to its roots as an afternoon event at Serenbe after five years being hosted in Atlanta as well as virtually during the COVID pandemic. Guests will enjoy cocktail hour and hors d’oeuvres before sitting down to a communal potluck dinner with expertly-curated wines. VIP guests will also enjoy a welcome reception with bubbles, dedicated front-row parking, reserved table seating, premium wines served with dinner, a VIP gift, and a book signing with Chef Steven Satterfield.
WWG is proud to have James Beard Foundation’s 2023 Best Chef Southeast Finalist Terry Koval as this year’s Chef Host, as well as Miles Macquarrie of Kimball House as Beverage Host. Over 25 chefs from across Georgia will prepare hors d’oeuvres, sides and desserts to accompany the main dish of whole hog BBQ prepared by Rodney Scott BBQ. A full list of participating restaurants and chefs can be found online in the coming weeks.
Chef Steven Satterfield of Miller Union will also be recognized with the 2023 Southern Chefs Potluck Carrot Crusader award for his dedication to Wholesome Wave Georgia’s mission to provide access to fresh, healthy, locally grown produce to people across Georgia. Chef Satterfield says, “I’ve been a cheerleader of Wholesome Wave Georgia ever since I learned of their wonderful mission years ago to get fresh food to those who need it most. Receiving the Carrot Crusader Award will be such an honor, and I’m thrilled to be recognized for my contributions to the good food movement.”
