The Frizzle Fries, Sax Sabbath
Description
Two of Atlanta’s best and most unique tributes take the stage at 529 on Thursday, November 14th. The Frizzle Fries capture the gonzo funk of Primus, while Sax Sabbath put a unique synth/sax spin on Black Sabbath.
Born out of the bowels of the world famous Milestone Club Halloween Fiasco of 2021, Atlanta’s finest Primus tribute band, The Frizzle Fries, has come to sail the seas of cheese with you! This trio of lifelong Primus aficionados wields mind-blowing craft to perfectly replicate the ever- nuanced and melodic precision of Herb’s drumming, the mind bending maze of Ler’s guitar work, and the thumping ferocity of the esteemed Les Claypool. Grab a can of pork soda and hang on for the ride. We do believe in Captain Crunch, for we ARE The Frizzle Fries!
Sax Sabbath is a one-of-a-kind experiment paying tribute to the fathers of heavy metal. Without guitar. Without vocals. Instead, Kath Fidler takes on many of the infamous Ozzy lines with her mighty saxophones, while Allen Welty-Green channels Tony Iommi's monstrous riffs with his stack of keyboards. Holding it all down, we have the ever-so-versatile Rob Dwyer covering Geezer's thundering bass lines, and the inimitable Richie Torrance capturing all the frenetic subtlety of Bill Ward's drum parts.
