Hailing from New York City by way of Tampa, FL & Athens, GA, producer, singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Shane T (Shane Toriscelli) has a wide range of influences. Inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen and David Lynch, and shaped by an areligious upbringing, Shane T captures a distinct brand of guitar and drum-machine driven indie rock. His debut and self-produced LP “Sweet”, coming fall of 2024, looks to expand on these sentiments and hone in on his distinct self-reflective writing style. The lead singles, “Swimming Pool” and “No More Questions”, incorporate a step forward in production style developed while producing works for artists such as RittMomney, MollyParden and himself in his Brooklyn, NY studio. Shane’s self-produced debut EPHoly Nights, Bad Advice established his sound and garnered the attention of other notable artists, leading to a national support tour with Illiterate Light and a number of production credits with RittMomney. Standout tracks“Wasting Time” and “Apartment Dream” highlight his introspective writing style, wrestling with self-identity, religious themes, and relationships with tact, cynicism, &sincerity. Shane’s second EPNight Drive is an expansion on these themes, and an aggressive stepforward sonically. “My mission to keep things simple hasn’t changed, I think my ideashave just gotten bigger,” says Shane. “This upcoming EP is in some ways an ode to the three years I spent in the more rock-emphasized scene of Nashville. On the surface thesongs are much more quick-hitting, but still offer a lyrical depth I’m proud of.”
