AKF USA Walk & Run 2024
Description
The Aga Khan Foundation’s Walk & Run events have been a key initiative for over 25 years, raising awareness and funds to end global poverty. Through events across major U.S. cities, these walks inspire community involvement, with over 500,000 participants raising more than $63 million since 1995. The walk highlights the power of partnerships that transcend borders and unite people worldwide in the fight for peace and prosperity. Exhibits at the events showcase the Foundations's solution to global challenges, engaging participants of all ages.
The Walk & Run 2024 will
consist of four unique and exciting experiences
Walk
Starting promptly at 11 am, the 2024 Atlanta Walk will be a unique experience. Participants will have an exclusive opportunity to walk along a guided route through Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. As you walk through levels two and three, enjoy exciting views of the playing field and the ballpark. The Walk will begin at Truist Park’s Right Field Gate located across from Live at the Battery. These tickets have a limited headcount, and we ask that you please arrive on time and only register for the Walk if you are 100% intending to participate. A General Admission Pass is not necessary if you register for this ticket type
5K Run
Start promptly at 8:30 am, the 5K Run will begin and end outside of Truist Park’s 3rd Base Gate located at 655 Battery Ave SE and route through the vibrant surroundings. Check-in time for the run starts at 7 am and ends at 8:20 am. Your time from this USA Track & Field certified course (#GA18016DJ) can be used to qualify for the Peachtree Road Race! Note: The MapMyRun interactive map will show the course at 3.22 Miles. However, this course has been accurately measured following USATF's guidelines and is 3.1 miles. Each Runner will receive a race T-Shirt. Runner race data will be published on AkfATL.org by Monday, Nov 18th. The route will have 3 water-aid stations and be secured by the local police department. A General Admission Pass is not necessary if you register for this ticket type
AKF Community Gathering
Join family, friends, and neighbors to support the mission of ending global poverty. If can't you participate in the Walk or 5K Run, please register for our General Admission tickets to join us at the Georgia Power Pavilion in the Battery Atlanta for the afternoon. Enjoy live music, family-friendly activities, and awards to recognize the best participants
Kids 100 Yard Dash
Bring your young runners to join the exciting Kids 100-yard dash! Kids will sprint down a designated track, cheered on by friends and family for a fun and supportive race-like experience. Spots are limited, so please only sign up if you are sure to attend. Arrive early to allow time for check-in. The dash is open to kids of all skill levels and will be run in three co-ed age groups. 5-7, 8-10, and 11-13

Parking will be available in the Battery Red Deck located at 2565 Circle 75 Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30339 and is FREE for the first 2 hours. For additional parking details click here
