Description
Lycoming
College invites the Williamsport community and surrounding areas to enjoy a
free show in its Detwiler Planetarium on Friday, April 4th.
3.5 billion
years ago, the first microscopic organisms emerged on Earth. But was our planet
the only place where life could take root? Today, scientists are on a quest to
uncover the secrets of life’s origins and search for worlds beyond Earth that
could sustain it. Join us for “The Astrobiologist’s Guide to Habitable Worlds”,
an immersive planetarium show that explores the most promising places for
extraterrestrial life. From the icy, ocean-filled moons of Enceladus and Europa
to the distant exoplanets of the TRAPPIST-1 system, journey through the cosmos
to discover the planets and moons that could one day be our second home. Don’t
miss this breathtaking voyage across the universe in search of life!
This event
is free and open to the public, with shows starting at 5 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. To
secure your spot, reserve free tickets via BigTickets beginning Friday, March 28th. Doors
will open 15 minutes before start of each show. Please note that there will be
no admittance after the show begins. You can find us at the Lynn Science
Center, located on the corner of Washington Boulevard and Mulberry Street.
